Gather was designed for Knit City 2013 - organized by Knit Social, a company that brings people together through knitting. This hat uses smocking to gather stitches together, creating a richly textured fabric.

cowl: Child (Adult Short, Adult Long)
6 (10, 10)" tall by 19 (23, 48)" around

For hat: 70 (80, 90, 110, 150, 170) yds

27 sts/ 42 rounds per 4 inches in smocking stitch (gauge using larger needles)

For cowl: US #6 / 4 mm 16 (16, 32)" circular needle
