Tofino, BC is the place to surf and be seen on the western shore of Vancouver Island. In summer the beach is packed with tourists and hippies. Everyone is trying to get on a surfboard and show their stuff: most of us inexperienced individuals looking more like floundering seals than sleek gods of the water!
