errata

Tin Can Knits patterns are professionally tech edited and extensively tested (typically they have been knit 1-2 times in each size). Despite this, errors occasionally occur. Electronic copies of patterns are updated as soon as the error is identified, so all downloads after this point are correct. However, this is not possible for our print books, and therefore the errata listed below apply primarily to print books and patterns.

Abbreviations (p7) : the instructions for kll (knit left loop) and krl (knit right loop) are reversed - see the correct instructions here.
Lumberjack pattern (p8) : gusset : Round 1: ... continue as established in ribbing across top of foot, pick up 7....

North Shore (p9): CC yardage was slightly low in some sizes. Revised yardage requirements are as follows: CC1, CC2, CC4: 60 (60, 60, 60, 60, 60, 60, 100, 100, 100, 100, 120, 120, 120, 120) yds. CC 3: 100 (100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 200, 200, 200, 200, 300, 300, 300, 300) yards.
North Shore (p10) : After chart B : Next Round (Adult sizes S to 4XL only): in CC3, [k2tog, k4(2,2,4,3,3,4)] around
Tofino Surfer (p29) : clarification - yardages listed are for bulky weight yarn. To work with DK weight yarn, double these yardages.
University (p45) : needles: US #4 is 3.5mm (not 3.75 as listed)
Antler Hat (p69) : errors in suggested needle size, cast on # and decreases for child & L sizes. Click here to download revised pattern.
